Count me in. I’d love to work on a contained area with its own art, map and fiction. ODND or original Moldvay B/X is obviously my preference. I’ll share this as well and see who we can get on board.

A chat or discord would be great for this.

Oh man it would be amazing to have you on board.

I’m not sure if your familiar with the old Knock Magazine, or Fight On! This would be a more amateur DIY inspired project for fun.

Your own contained area would be awesome. I agree OD&D or BX Moldvay. I would like to stay away from the clones and just shoot for the original games. Also the names I came up with are not set in stone and contributors are welcome to come up with their own names.

I have a couple of really cool resource for Original D&D stats with notation on which supplement/booklet they can be found in. I also have spreadsheets listing all monsters for OD&D my name and HD .

If you wanna do original games I’ll print up my ODND pdfs finally. I think I own the supplements as well or are we just shooting for 3 LBB?

I would be so totally down to contribute to this :)

That said, I have absolutely minimal experience with OD&D and B/X so anything I did would be something like outsider art. I'll be bringing some different-system sensibilities into things, even if I'm just working on rumor tables or fiction.

That’s super cool and all experience levels are welcome as are other sensibilities. I think once we get a good group we can decide on a system. I have all stats in a convenient form for OD&D and BX. Easy to just copy and paste or re-skin.

If we need any kind of overland map, I'd be super happy to work on that :)

Oh man! Very, very cool and thank you. Having you and Castle Grief on board is a real honor.

These levels are super interesting to me - evocative titles. I'd love to do some fiction, art, and mapping for it.

Thank you!! Dungeon level & fiction. I’m very new to the whole OSR/retro role-playing thing so I assume I need to do some reading to familiarize myself with the system. I own a bunch of books like Whitebox, Old-School Essentials, among others so if you can point me in the right direction I’d be very thankful.

I would love to get involved. My style of art is vector art but I’ve wanted an excuse to play around with something more dark and perhaps incorporating stained glass! The star-graves of the dying suns sor city of the endless night sound really fun! I don’t have a lot of experience with OD&D or B/X but would love to get in on a community project !

We would be more than happy to have you. Once I get a list of people interested we can decide on a system, levels, sublevels etc. Fiction and art. Level names are by no means et in stone wither if someone has a cool name.

I could write some fiction if you still need somebody. Assign me something (and max word count).

I am working on Du-Lum, the Vanished Lands. Basically a small Hex-crawl that leads to the mythic, otherworldly City Of Du-Lum, and its goblin Sorcerers who have built their city in the remains of a dead mechanical clock-work god. Players have to sail across the subterranean astral sea in an ancient clockwork submarine to get to the cities shores.

Goblin sorcerers have collected the heads of various primordial titans and are artificially keeping them alive through bio-mechanical means so they can extract knowledge lost to time.

The titans heads act like super computers they can download information from. They Sorcerers of Du-Lum also grow lesser, blind, multi limbed albino goblins that infest the caverns leading up to the astral sea. They operate on sound alone.

I will send some pix that are serving as inspiration for the Goblin Sorcerers.

Love this idea and I'd love to contribute! I'm pretty new to TTRPG so I'm also quite interested in learning what I can about developing a dungeon.

Please count me in! I'd love to detail out a dungeon level or wilderness area. I could probably throw in a couple of illustrations, too. The original Darkness Beneath was a great dungeon, and I was always bummed I didn't get the chance to participate in it.

Oh man that would be amazing. If you don’t mind working on a far more amateur/DIY aesthetic we would love to have you. A wilderness area for the surface area would be super cool but will gladly be open to anything.

I'm in. I can't draw good. But I love a dungeon and all that's involved in it.

Expand full comment

Cant draw good is how I would describe my work on a good day , haha. That’s quite alright its all part of the appeal. This project is all about heart, and less so snazzy layout, panels, art-punk, and public domain art. Should be a blast!

I would be happy to contribute some art! Don’t think I have enough bandwidth to come up with a level, but I would love to be involved.

That would be amazing!

Fantastic idea, fantastic group! I have been a lurker and reader so far, but if the group is still open, I’d love to participate.

I’d be interested in contributing locations/tables/encounters (artless, unless I finally bite the bullet and follow @chaoclypse’s fine photo bashing guide: https://youtu.be/GYrUzzS8SnE?si=BqLIQzaYDyauacwb) ☀️

The project sounds intriguing, and I would be delighted to contribute. Despite my demanding 7 day work schedule, I will allocate some time to assist in the design of a dungeon level. Could you please provide me with the project timeline and deadline so that I can plan my contributions responsibly?

Expand full comment

Let me get back to you on that. I'm just gathering names at the moment. Then we will decideb on a system (either OD&D or BX) finalize level names/themes and allocate levels and sublevels and propose a deadline fir submissions. Thank you for coming aboard!
