I've never played D&D, and honestly reading this primer got me excited to play OD&D and ignore the heavier rulesets of new editions. My games are always more focused on roleplaying and seeing what happens organically. OD&D seems to fit this style of play extremely well. I hate looking up rules, if I can't quickly make an obvious decision it makes me sad 😢!
I find that running OD&D has made me a player as well. I'm constantly surprised by what's rolled up and played out. A random table with Androids shifted the whole dynamic of or setting and dipped our game into cosmic fantasy. I really love implementing the procedures present in OD&D they just naturally allow a game to emerge.
I've got the rules pdf so going to go through it over the next month or so to better understand it all! Thanks for the inspiration to look into yet another system 😅
That is my art in the primer!
That's so cool. I love it! My favorite product by far.

How do you connect to the discord? I’m vaguely aware of it from my kids…adult kids who game.
