Death By Dungeon Issue #1
What is it that you seek? Riches, power, or perhaps the forbidden secrets of the arcane. Enter a mythic underworld of the weird, otherworldly, and truly horrific. An unnatural place that obeys its own laws apart from the natural order of all things good and holy.
Death By Dungeon is a community zine dedicated to classic 1974 (lbb) Old-School gaming. Though conceived as part of a larger dungeon, each issue presents a self-contained level that is fully playable by itself without the other levels, or as part of a larger dungeon or campaign.
Countless souls have attempted to uncover the secrets within, though none have returned. Now it’s your turn. Will you survive, or suffer a glorious death by dungeon....

Back at the beginning of October (see posts here & here) myself and a few other substackers had been playing around with the idea of making our own substack community mega-dungeon. Publishing each level via a substack newsletter, and then perhaps afterwards collecting all the levels into a single pdf omnibus, and if enough people showed interested make it available in print at cost.
Many of my fellow stackers heard the call, and so many amazing people from the substack community decided to lend their talents and passion for gaming to the project. From art, to adventures, tables to fiction and original monsters, there was no lack of support or enthusiasm for the project.
To say I was blown away by the community support would be an understatement.
I cannot thank each and everyone of them enough and I am truly honored to be a part of this community. Issue #1 is done. Issue #2 is in the final stages with many more issues planned. If you check the links to the previous posts you will get an idea of what’s in store.
